Helen Hope Files
In 1991 Linda McIntyre was given possession of files originally handled by the office of Attorney Helen Tanos Hope prior to her death. The circuit court of Broward County Florida appointed McIntyre inventory attorney. The files were reviewed, and a master list was created. Following the inventory, files were returned to the State of Florida and are now in the possession of the Department of Families and Children. |

| The Master File contains information regarding the names of birth parents, adoptive parents, dates of birth, county of adoption venue and birthing institution. If you are a past client of Helen Tanos Hope, a birth parent, or an adoptee, and you would like access to Master file information, please send a notarized letter to Linda McIntyre, 2 North East 5th Avenue, Delray Beach , Florida 33483 stating that you authorize the release of your name at the time both parties (adoptive parents or adoptee and birth parent) agree. Ms. McIntyre will keep your information on file until a match is made. |

In addition, please be aware that the State of Florida has established a birth parent/ adoptee Registry in Tallahassee. If both parties register, a reunion can be initiated.
